I think the message of this folktale is that everybody deserves a chance. I say that because not all homeless people choose to be homeless, so the people that are not homeless should at least try and help the ones that are. In my revised story the president which is a very wealthy man helps a old beggar woman. He knows that it was not her choice to be poor, but in the economy they live in it was chosen for her.
In the nigerian country the few people that are wealthy try and help those that are not. But the kind of economic problems they have, they can not afford to help a lot but they do all they can. Since the president is the wealthiest person in Nigeria, he can help this beggar lady a lot. So at the end of my story the lady ends up not being poor just from the help of the president.

Definitely a Karma message, which many fables or parables have in religious writing. Can you get the message to connect to the culture in any way?
ReplyDeleteThis story has a great message that many people can learn from and practice in life everyday. Everyone should give a helping hand when someone is in need. Great writing :)
ReplyDeleteI think you chose a story with a great message. How does the man help the homeless woman, and how does it come back later?
ReplyDeleteYour message is really truthful and speaks really for itself, I like it.
