I have not really thought much about illustrations. But I want the illustrations to be either painted or hand drawn. I want it to be like the realistic look and not just some pictures I found on the internet since it is a kid book.
But I still and not one hundred percent sure on my illustrations. So I am going to take some time after I get the story fully written to decide on the type of pictures I will have.
I wanted to do my illustrations on Paint, but i'm not too good with drawing with a mouse, so i chose to have someone be my illustrator for my folktale. Therefore, you should be the easiest way for you. :)
I think creating your own pictures is a good idea. It helps with the originality of your pastiche.
